A few honest answers.
A few simple answers about working together. If anything here needs more context, we can talk it through in an initial conversation.
- What kind of work do you offer?
-
I offer trauma-informed coaching, nervous-system-aware support, EMDR-informed work, somatic awareness and reflective self-development.
It's integrative rather than one fixed method — we shape the work around what you need, what feels safe enough, and what is appropriate.
- Is this therapy? Are you a therapist?
-
I'm a trauma-informed coach, trained in EMDR, and a humanistic integrative counsellor in training.
The work I offer is therapeutic in nature, but I am not presenting myself as a registered psychotherapist or clinical psychologist. I'll always be clear about what I can and can't offer, where the boundaries are, and where another form of support may be more appropriate.
Where EMDR is offered, it is done with proper preparation, consent, contracting and attention to safety. We would talk through whether it feels suitable before beginning that kind of work.
- What happens in a first conversation?
-
It's free and unhurried — a chance to talk about what's bringing you here and to see whether working together feels right. There's no pressure to commit.

- Do you work online or in person?
-
Both.
I offer online sessions, and some in-person work may be available depending on location, suitability and what we agree together.
Some people prefer the ease of online sessions; others prefer being in the room. We can talk about what feels most suitable.
- How long are sessions, and what do they cost?
-
Current session lengths and fees are listed on the Work With Me page.
- Is what I share kept private?
-
I take confidentiality seriously and work within an ethical framework.
There are limits to confidentiality — for example, if there is a risk of serious harm to you or someone else, or where safeguarding or legal duties apply.
I'll explain this clearly before we begin working together, including how information is handled, stored and used in supervision where appropriate.
- What if I'm in crisis?
-
reconnection is not a crisis service. If something feels urgent or unsafe, please use the Crisis Support page. If life is at risk, call 999 or go to A&E.
- How do I book?
