privacy
How your information is handled.
This page explains, in plain English, how information is collected and handled when you use this website or get in touch with reconnection.
Who is responsible
Paul Sines, trading as reconnection. Contact: paul@re-connection.uk
What I collect
Enquiries you send via the contact form (your name, email and message); booking details when you book through Calendly; and anything you choose to share by email.
How it is processed
This website is hosted on Netlify.
If you contact me through the website, your enquiry may be processed through Netlify Forms and sent to me by email.
Bookings are handled through Calendly. Calendly only loads when you click a booking button — it does not load on page load, and nothing from Calendly is requested before that click.
At present, this site is not intended to use advertising cookies, behavioural tracking cookies, Meta Pixel, Google Ads tracking or similar marketing tools.
Some third-party services may process limited technical information when you choose to use them, such as booking through Calendly or opening an external resource. External websites have their own privacy and cookie policies.
Why I use this information
I use this information to:
- respond to your enquiry
- arrange an initial conversation
- provide the service you have asked about
- keep appropriate records where we work together
How long it is kept
I only keep personal information for as long as I need it for the reason it was collected, or where I need to keep it for legal, insurance, professional or accounting reasons.
As a guide:
- general enquiries are usually kept for up to 12 months after our last contact, unless we go on to work together
- client records are usually kept for up to 7 years after our final session, unless a longer period is required for legal, insurance, safeguarding or professional reasons
- financial and accounting records are kept for at least the period required by HMRC
When information is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or anonymised where appropriate.
Sharing your information
Your information is not sold.
It may be processed by the services named above where needed to run the website, respond to enquiries, manage bookings or provide services.
I may also need to share information where required by law, where there is a serious risk of harm, or where safeguarding duties apply. Wherever possible, I will be clear about this.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not use advertising or behavioural tracking cookies.
Calendly loads only when you click a booking button — nothing is stored on your device as a result of the site itself, and no third-party content loads on page load.
If privacy-first analytics are enabled on this site, they are cookieless and record no personal data — no personal identification, no behavioural tracking, and no consent banner is required.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have rights over your personal information.
You can ask to:
- see the personal information I hold about you
- correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
- delete information in certain circumstances
- restrict or object to how your information is used in certain circumstances
To make a request, contact: paul@re-connection.uk
I will respond as clearly and promptly as I can.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you are unhappy with how your personal information is handled.
